Jacey Dae

Jacey Dae was born on August 13, 2008.

She was the first grandchild on both sides of the family, and had the entire family’s undivided attention for the first four months of her life, until her cousin was born.  But she is still completely doted upon by all of her grandparents.  We’re lucky enough to live close to my parents and my mom’s parents, so Jacey gets to spend lots of time with her Mimi and Gramps and her great-grandparents.  Her other grandparents, Papaw and Nunu, usually get to see her at least once a month, and her other three great-grandparents would see her more often if they could.  Her Aunt Chelle loves her more than any aunt ever loved any niece, and her Uncle Jared and Aunt Danielle can’t wait until she’s able to play with her cousin Haden.  She has the best family a kid could ever hope for.

Jacey is usually a very happy girl.  Somehow, Kellen and I produced a child who is happy in the morning.  This seems impossible, but it’s true.  She’s growing far too quickly.  She happily goes by either Jacey or Jacey Dae.  She was named for her great-grandfather, JD or “Jonesie.”

She loves puppies and birds.  She’s a mama’s girl, for now.  She’s a good little traveler.  She can’t get enough of books.

She’s pretty much the most perfect child ever born, ever.  From a totally un-biased point of view, of course.
